Ms. Kellie Pai is licensed to practice law in the state of Texas and the U.S. District Court for Southern District of Texas. She is a managing partner at LPY Law Group, and practices almost exclusively immigration and nationality law.
The current emphasis of Ms. Pai’s practice is employment-related non-immigrant and immigrant benefits, including H-1B, L-1, O-1, J-1, PERM, EB-1A, EB-1B, and National Interest Waivers. She is also experienced in family-based benefits including petition for alien relative, fiancé and spousal visa; adjustment of status application; petition to remove conditions of residence; and application for naturalization.
Prior to joining LPY Law Group, Ms. Pai worked as a law clerk and contract attorney in both transactional and litigation matters, including corporate formations, contract review, legal research, discovery, and litigation pleadings. During law school, she was a contributing member of the Journal of Texas Consumer Law.
Ms. Pai actively participates in the professional and legal community. She has been a routine guest speaker for the legal program on Houston Chinese Radio, updating listeners on current immigration matters. She also takes on pro bono cases and volunteers at the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) Citizenship Day every year, assisting low-income clients.
As an AILA member, Ms. Pai has presented on EB-1A, EB-1B, and National Interest Waiver petitions at an AILA-Houston section meeting. Since 2008, she has served as Legal Counsel of the National Association of Asian American Professionals-Houston, a non-profit professional organization that promotes the career advancement and leadership development of Asian American professionals.
