A graduate of Peking University (Ph.D.) and Valparaiso University School of Law (J.D.), Dr. Liu is a licensed member of the Texas State Bar. His practice includes employment-based immigrant and non-immigrant petitions, and administrative and judiciary appeals.
In addition to practicing law, Dr. Liu is also known as a bilingual writer and independent scholar. He has published over 10 books and numerous articles in areas of law, philosophy, religion, history, politics, and art.
Prior to becoming a lawyer and writer, Dr. Liu worked many jobs in China and the U.S. as quarry laborer, factory worker, debt collector, middle school teacher, librarian, college lecturer, and research fellow. He also served on the editorial board of Valparaiso University Law Review.
Dr. Liu is fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese.
