How does the USCIS determine whether a baccalaureate degree is the minimum requirement for a specific occupation?

Pertinent laws set some objective standards for determining whether a specific occupation requires a bachelor’s degree for entry into the occupation. For more information regarding the standards to determine the requirement of bachelor’s degree, please read our special section on Standards to Determine Specialty Occupation.
